Cyndy Booker

Hello! I’m Cyndy Booker, one half of A&B Lifestyles. Working with my business partner, Seena is an adventure and a lot of fun. We bring different ideas, perspectives and life experiences to our work.

Organization has always been a part of my life. Some of my heritage is German and this part highly influenced how my home functioned as a child. There is a saying in German “Alles in Ordung”, which translated means “Everything is in order.” Another phrase I heard quite often growing up was “A place for everything and everything in it’s place.” This phrase has become a guiding principle in my life.

As a child I enjoyed organizing my room. Spending an afternoon organizing, ridding the space of items I no longer used and making my room fresh and airy created joy and satisfaction. I have always had a knack for formulating ideas/solutions to spacial design. In College, three of us lived in a small one bedroom apartment. I have moved 15 times in my adult life, needing to set up an household for myself at first, then including a husband and eventually adding four children. Each apartment, condo, or home had unique problems; thus providing me an opportunity to experiment with many different solutions.

Having raised four children I see the value of simplicity. With all the frenetic activity of the kids, my ability to create an organized environment brought calm and peace to my family life. I maximized every inch of space to house my kids games, toys, sports equipment, school supplies, etc. while preserving a comfortable, inviting, and attractive home. My style is more of a minimalist without sacrificing style and beauty that each home deserves.
