AfterLife changes. This client was surprisingly eager and willing to downsize from the home she and her now deceased husband raised their children to an assisted living residence. The home over looked La Jolla shores and provided a lovely backdrop for her love of art, books and culture. She was a beautiful representation of not getting too attached to the world of stuff. She was able to articulate that the items she decided to donate or sell had their purpose and that some will continue to serve their purpose in the hands of someone else.
A&B Lifestyles understand it’s not this easy for most people. We come into all situations respectful of where the client is and simultaneously encourage them where to go. We move at whatever pace the client calls for whether they want to keep the momentum going or we slow down when it’s clearly evident that the client feels overwhelmed.

Her new residence was considerably smaller and it provided a culture of living in a community where everything was available to her. A&B Lifestyles was able to convey to the client what exactly she would need and what exactly would fit. Not every book was going to fit on the shelves and how much and how fancy would she be entertaining friend and family? These are just a couple of ideas that we dialogued about to expedite the decision making process.
